Filter Breakthrough Indicators

The breakthrough indicators are colorimetric filter change indicators that indicate the saturation and exhaustion of carbon adsorbers and filters. They are reliable and cost effect means for protection from exposure to toxic gases and vapors in the work place. Indicators change color when carbon adsorbers, carbon scrubbers and filters are saturated with target gases or vapors. Hence alerting the user to replace the exhausted carbon adsorber or filter. Extended shelf life range between 1 to 2 years plus service life range between 1 to 2 years. The unique design of the indicator prevents any color change due to exposure to contaminants in the surrounding environment and changes color only when carbon absorber or filter is saturated.

BTI

The indicators are 3.5-inch-tall, 1-inch diameter and are easily connected to the ¾ inch female NPT outlet of the carbon absorber or filter using the ¾ inch male NPT threading at the bottom of the indicator. The BTI is available  for acid vapors (e.g. hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid and sulfur dioxide), ammonia, ammonia & hydrogen sulfidearomatic diisocyanates vapors (e.g. TDI and MDI), basic vapors (e.g. ammonia and aliphatic amines), chlorine dioxidehalogens (Chlorine, Bromine and Iodine), hydrazinehydrogen sulfide,formaldehydemercury, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide.

BTI 2

The indicators are 4.5-inch-tall, 2-inch diameter and are easily connected to the 1½ inch female NPT outlet of the carbon absorber or filter using the 1½ inch male NPT threading at the bottom of the indicator. The BTI 2 is available  for ammoniaammonia & hydrogen sulfide, chlorine dioxide, formaldehydehydrazinehydrogen sulfide and mercury

BTI 3

The indicators are 4.5-inch-tall, 3-inch diameter and are easily connected to the 2½ inch female NPT outlet of the carbon absorber or filter using the 2½ inch male NPT threading at the bottom of the indicator. The BTI 2 is available  for ammoniahydrogen sulfide, chlorine dioxide, formaldehydehydrazinehydrogen sulfide and mercury.


BTI Inline

The BTI Inline is suitable for process vent filters associated with toxic gases emission control, distillation, fractionation, thin-film evaporation, solvent extraction, air or steam stripping operations. The indicators are 3.5-inch-tall, 1-inch diameter and are easily connected inline with ¾” male, male NPT inlet and outlet. The BTI Inline is available  for acid vapors (e.g. hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid and sulfur dioxide), ammoniaammonia & hydrogen sulfidebasic vapors (e.g. ammonia and aliphatic amines), chlorine dioxide, formaldehyde, halogens, humidity, hydrazinehydrogen sulfide and mercury.

BTI Inline MV

The Breakthrough Indicator Inline Multi Vape (BTI Inline MV) is qualitative (yes/no) colorimetric indicator for real-time indication of multiple gases and vapors. BTI Inline MV is suitable for process vent filters associated with toxic gases emission control, distillation, fractionation, thin-film evaporation, solvent extraction, air or steam stripping operations. The indicator is 3.5-inch-tall, 1-inch diameter and are easily connected inline with ¾” male, male NPT inlet and outlet. The BTI Inline MV are available in wide variation of different combinations of multiple gases and vapors.

BTI Inline VR

The Breakthrough Indicator Inline - Vacuum Rated (BTI Inline VR) is designed for processes conducted in vacuum. It is suitable for process vent filters associated with toxic gases emission control, distillation, fractionation, thin-film evaporation, solvent extraction, air or steam stripping operations. The indicators are 5.25-inch-tall, 1-inch diameter and are easily connected inline with ¾” male, male NPT inlet and outlet. The BTI Inline VR are available  for acid vapors (e.g. hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid and sulfur dioxide), ammonia, ammonia & hydrogen sulfide, basic vapors (e.g. ammonia and aliphatic amines), chlorine dioxide, formaldehyde, halogens, humidity, hydrazine, hydrogen sulfide and mercury.

BTI AFT

The BTI AFT is a breakthrough indicator equipped with auxiliary filter trap to protect the indicating layer from changing color in a highly contaminated surrounding environments. The indicator is 3.5-inch-tall, 1-inch diameter and are easily connected to the ¾ inch female NPT outlet of the carbon absorber or filter using the ¾ inch male NPT threading at the bottom of the indicator. Auxiliary Filter Trap is 1.6-inch-tall, 3.2-inch diameter and ¾” Female NPT Inlet. The BTI AFT is available  for acid vapors (e.g. hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid and sulfur dioxide), ammonia, ammonia & hydrogen sulfide, basic vapors (e.g. ammonia and aliphatic amines), chlorine dioxide, formaldehyde, halogens, humidity, hydrazine, hydrogen sulfide and mercury.
